Volunteering at Greenmeadow is a great opportunity to get involved with the local community and help us look after the farm, its animal residents and our visitors.

Whether you’re passionate about animals, love being outdoors or just want to lend a hand as we get Greenmeadow ready for re-opening and beyond, becoming a volunteer gives you the opportunity to get involved in the farm’s journey.

What will our volunteers be doing?

Redevelopment at the Farm

Before we open the gates later this summer, our volunteers will be helping us get ready for visitors. There will be plenty of tidying to help us get Greenmeadow spick and span, ready for opening.

Before we open, volunteers will be:

  • Supporting with animal care
  • Helping with gardening and planting
  • Getting stuck in with painting, tidying and general preparation
  • Helping us create a welcoming, safe and beautiful space for our community

Once we’re back open, our volunteers play a vital role in helping with the day-to-day running of the farm and providing an amazing experience for our visitors.

Volunteers help us look after our visitors by:

  • Greeting and guiding our visitors
  • Supporting with family-friendly activities and events
  • Talking to visitors about our animals
  • Helping to manage the car park
  • Taking care of the animals

Why volunteer with Greenmeadow?

Volunteering is a great way to make a real difference in your local community, get to know new people and be part of a team.

You can get hands-on experience in animal care, visitor experience and events, and build new confidence in a supportive environment of like-minded folk.

Whether you have only a few hours or few days each week, we’re looking for new volunteers to join us now!

At present, we are looking for volunteers age 16+. However, if you are 14-15 years old, please feel free to register your interest and we will be in touch with details of future volunteering opportunities once the farm has reopened.
